I’m Debra Corley and I write 1health, which is intended to be a useful and reliable source of information about public health topics which intersect with environmental and animal welfare.

I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice Adult/Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. My clinical background has been predominantly in the acute care setting in cardiology and neurology hospital units with additional experience in home health. I am a proponent of tackling the issues of chronic disease and functional decline with a holistic systems-based approach to achieve ethical and sustainable improvements in population health.
